We are committed to matching you with the most qualified nurses, therapists, and aides who have the necessary skills and expertise to meet your specific needs. However, our work does not stop there. We also take the time to carefully consider the personality and preferences of our clients, as we understand that a good connection between you and your healthcare provider is essential in achieving better outcomes and providing the best possible experience.
What are Medicare-certified home health services?
Physicians prescribe short-term home health care services to aid in rehabilitation after an injury, illness, hospital stay, or surgery, or to manage a chronic medical condition to prevent unnecessary hospitalization. Specialized clinicians provide one-hour home visits until recovery goals are achieved. Typically, these episodes of care last between 30 and 60 days, but can be extended if required for medical reasons. Medicare and private insurance generally cover 100 percent of home health care visits through the Medicare home health benefit.

When opting for UMA, rest assured that our clinical care will be delivered with expertise and in collaboration with your physician. To begin with, an UMA nurse will visit your home to assess your needs, and based on that, we will work together with your physician to create a personalized care plan for you. This plan may involve visits from:
- Nurses, for medical needs
- Physical therapists (PTs), to help restore mobility
- Occupational therapists (OTs), to improve the ability to perform everyday activities
- Speech language pathologists (SLPs), to help with speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing issues
- Medical social workers (MSWs), to help a client and their family connect with community resources
- Home health aides (HHAs), to provide personal care assistance when applicable

A dedicated support team
At UMA, our clinicians work as part of a team of dedicated home health care professionals to ensure that you receive the best care experience possible. Your RN clinical manager oversees and manages your care plan and caregivers to ensure that all your care needs are met. They also communicate with your doctor as needed to make sure that you receive coordinated care. In addition, your client services manager plays a crucial role in coordinating your care schedule and is always available to answer any questions you might have. Together, our team is committed to providing you with the highest level of care and support.
